In our modern society, money and what we do to obtain it strongly influences our identity. Capitalist ideals are the standard in which we identify what is beautiful, pure, and the meaning of life. In this illustration, the rose made out of money symbolizes this shift and the drop of blood highlights the sacrifice, either out of choice or survival, that these new ideals require of us to be accepted as members of society.
